Responsibilities

1. Be familiar with Agency Programme Resolutions, regulations and administrative procedures.
2. Assess and prioritise requests for TAC action to ensure prompt resolution of disputes and the best use of TAC resources
3. Manage and coordinate the gathering and distribution of pre-hearing information to ensure efficient and timely process.
4. Consider and determine any Agent for interlocutory relief.
5. Research any requirements under applicable local law to ensure consistency of TAC actions.
6. Arrange for TAC hearings in the most cost effective way.
7. With the agreement of both parties and where permissible under applicable law, seek to mediate a commercial solution between the parties and, as appropriate, record this as a consent decision.
8. Conduct hearings in accordance with Resolution 820e, the Rules of Practice and Procedure and applicable law.
9. Promptly render a written decision in accordance with Resolution 820e and applicable law in reasoned detail.
10. From the perspective of the TAC provide comment on the IATA Passenger Agency Programme to IATA management.
11. Provide a consolidated annual report to the PAPGJC on the work of the TAC, including budget for planned expenses.
